Dear Senator,

I urge you to make President Trump’s campaign commitments a priority as the Senate resolves legislative differences with the House version of the budget resolution.

Please give serious consideration to the millions of Americans who are in need of tax relief and the political downside of opposing income tax exemptions for social security benefits, tips and overtime as you pursue the important mission to reduce spending and the national debt.

Donald Trump, the top most visible GOP leader, promised income tax cuts for social security benefits, tips and overtime that would help millions of Americans to meet their family budgetary needs especially housing.  Millions of Americans, who want and in most cases need one or more of these tax breaks, will be closely watching Republican bills regarding these tax cuts.  Republican sponsored legislation excluding tax exemptions for social security benefits, tips and overtime could have dire consequences at the ballot box for the GOP in November 2026.

Failure to pass President Trump’s “One Big, Beautiful Bill” will hurt the economy, national security, millions of American family budgets and the future success of the GOP.

Please remember the razor thin majority that Republicans have in the House as you resolve the differences between the Senate and House version of the budget resolution.
